Happy, Healthy, and Energized Life

With all the stress and chaos in the world, when we think about a Happy, Healthy and Energized Life, if may feel far away from reach. In reality, when you break it down into a few separate components, it becomes quite easy. You will see “8 petals” around the diagram above. Each component or petal contributes to creating the life of your dreams. You can focus on each segment one by one and watch your life improve. I have seen dramatic shifts in these areas of my life with just a few minor actions. Everyone gets to decide what they want their life to look like, I want a Happy, Healthy, and Energized Life.

My happiness comes mainly from my spiritual life which feeds me daily with the hope, direction, and purpose to live the life of dreams. Feeling healthy is a combination of Healthy Eating, reducing inflammation, healthy weight and balanced metabolism. Lastly, feeling energized comes from a combination of stress management, deep and restful sleep, and abundant energy. When you address all of these areas of your life, you too can live the life of your dreams.

Spiritual Life

Spirituality is not the same as religion. It involves the recognition of a feeling or sense that there is something greater than myself, something more to being human besides the human experience. The feeling that we are part of something greater or divine in nature. Me personally I believe in God and we are all here for a purpose. Ultimately, I feel that living a spiritual life allows the spirit to move in you and leads to Spiritual Health. Spiritual health is achieved when you feel at peace in your life. Spirituality is different for everyone but a strong spiritual life is a big part of a healthy, happy and Energized life.

How do you create spiritual health? Walking nature can help you feel connected and at peace. Being of service and helping others brings about a sense of wellbeing and that you are contributing to others. Another way is a gratitude journal. By writing down a few things that you are grateful for and why on a daily basis allows you to see all the wonderful things you have in your life. All of these can bring you hope for the future and contribute to Spiritual Health.

Healthy Eating

Eating a healthy diet are words we have all heard but what do they really mean. Ultimately we want to eat a whole-food diet, full of fresh fruits and veggies, lean grass fed meats and wild caught fish. When we eat processed foods or man made foods they are stripped of most of their fiber, enzymes, vitamins and minerals and replaced with preservatives, coloring and dyes. As Americans we spend a lot of time trying to limit this and adding that, we lose our relationship with food. You must cultivate a happy relationship with food. So instead of focusing on what you shouldn’t eat, focus on what foods can you add to your plate to improve your health? Eating the processed foods lead to inflammation and disease in the body, if man made it don’t eat it!

Reduce Inflammation

Poor diet, environmental toxins, internal pathogens and stress all contribute to inflammation. Inflammation is actually a good thing in the body, if you get sick or injured your immune system launches an inflammatory response to protect itself. When this inflammation is created on a daily basis, overtime, it can wreak havoc on your body and contribute to chronic diseases such as heart disease, autoimmune disorders, asthma and diabetes to name a few. Our dietary decisions lead to inflammation, weight gain and pain. We explore all the ways you can reduce your chronic inflammation and restore health.

Healthy Weight

Maintaining a healthy weight is important for health. It will also help in lowering your risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure and many different cancers. There are many ways to maintain a healthy weight but two of the most important ones a move more and eat less. You may have heard that sitting is the new smoking, sitting for long periods without getting up to move increases your risk for chronic health problems.

Stress Management

Stress is a word that has been thrown around for a long time that I believe people are becoming numb to hearing it. Everyone has heard about decreasing their stress but no one knows how.  This is where creating a plan to decrease and manage your stress is imperative to a happy, healthy, and energized life. When our bodies are in stress mode, you activate a part of the brain that makes you very protective and withdrawn from your family and friends. Also, your body tends to gain weight and create cravings for comfort foods that you are accustomed to.  Your healing will slow down and chronic inflammation and disease can ensue. Creating a stress management plan to overcome your stress and its side effects becomes imperative to live a happy healthy and energized life.

Deep and Restful sleep

Deep and Restful Sleep is imperative to enjoy your life to the fullest. There are many things that occur while you are in deep and REM sleep to heal your body and store memories for later use. Cells regenerate, your immune system is strengthened and you store more energy for the next day.  The lack of deep and restful sleep makes it difficult to create adn maintain memories and retain new information. This will take its toll on your physical and mental health and is linked to a host of health problems. There is a formula or process that promotes deep and restful sleep every time.

Abundant Energy

Everyone wants to have more energy but imagine waking up with an abundant amount of energy for your day. The thing that I see with people is that they expect energy to just show up in their lives. That is not how our bodies work, we are energy generators, we make our energy, but it takes a specific recipe to create more energy than you can imagine. I have the list to more science-backed ways to naturally create your energy. What would you do with an Abundant amount of Energy on a daily basis? Who could you serve, what could you accomplish? I can teach you how to do this too.

Balanced Metabolism

A Balanced Metabolism is an all-encompassing term used to describe the essential chemical reactions within the body that work to convert food that we eat into energy balanced with how well our body eliminates its toxins. When you are out of metabolic balance in your body, you are not eating well, drinking things that don’t nourish you. In addition, you don’t eliminate the waste products created by the body. The combination of the two is part of what leads us to disease. Your goal is to get the majority of your essential chemical reactions balanced with elimination of waste create a Balanced metabolism.
